Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) are copolymers or a physical mix of polymers (usually plastic and rubber) that consist of materials with both thermoplastic and elastomeric properties. Unlike expensive silicone, TPE material is cheap, so it has gradually become the main material for making adult dolls.
